Over the past 10 years, Planifitech has acquired an enviable reputation in this highly sophisticated area of activity.

Biotechnology projects that we have managed include a Sainte-Foy laboratory built by BioChem Vaccines in 1999 (known today as Corporation ID Biomedical of Québec) where anti-influenza vaccines are produced for Canadian consumption.

A major client of Planifitech in the pharmaceutical domain is the multinational Wyeth. The following are some of the major projects we’ve handled for them.

• Modernization and refurbishing of a factory producing tablets and coating; ensuring the building conformed to cGMP and FDA standards
• Construction of a suite for the development of oral contraceptives, where the product fabrication environment was a high-risk area
• Modernization of research laboratories

In the laboratories sector, Planifitech has undertaken a number of projects including the construction of a laboratory with a BL-3 confinement level for BioChem Pharma of Laval, renowned for the creation of 3TC®, a well-known HIV medication.
